Some things I wrote about my Theology
My personal theology is very simple. I believe that there is a God. I believe that there is a creator. That everything we know about the Universe, big and expansive as it was created by design. I wouldn’t say that I have a simplistic view of who or what God is because given that we as Christians believe that God is omnipotent, God could be literally anyone or anything. We’re not talking about an old man sitting on a cloud as He often cartoonishly portrayed. Are we then talking about a spirit? Something formless? Or we talking about a man? Or an entity.
I think we’re talking about either or all of those things.
Critics of my faith will probably tell me that I can’t define God and that would be correct. I have never seen him, heard him or touched him to the best of my knowledge.
I would simply point to Jesus for direction. The reason I think this is because Christians believe that Jesus is God in human form. Because I believe it is through Him that any kind of connection to God whatsoever can be found. And it is through His teaching that we get any kind of description of God and what he is all about.

God created man and all life, on earth and in the Universe, be that in 7 days of many millions of years.
That the fall of man as described in Genesis is analogus to our imperfections as a species living in an imperfect world.
I call those imperfections, Sin. I may go into what I mean by these in a thought of mine.
My basis for this is belief in the person of Jesus. But really, that’s about it. I rarely read a Bible on my own. I’m not really very good at praying, whether that’s on my own or even communally. I don’t use words like “I’ve been saved” and yet, I do believe Christ came to “save sinners”. I don’t think this idea of being “saved” comes down to one moment. It stays with us throughout our “journey” in the faith – we sin we need forgiveness. We seek that forgiveness and are forgiven.
And then comes the foundational reason that Christianity exists. Jesus died, and in just 2 days after rose again. Christians believe that he did this through grace to save us from sin, the culmination of which is death. That of course requires belief in God to even think about accepting salvation or even the need for salvation.
But that’s the Christian faith. And that is my theology.
At the heart of it all are these words: “Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.
